I wish to welcome you to our Parish website and the Parish of St Francis De
Sales & St Gertrude Catholic Church, Stockwell, Lambeth Denary, South East of London, of the Archdiocese of Southwark. We are a family, united in our
beliefs and practices of our common catholic faith; and as people of hope, we
also make every effort to living out our vocation in and with love for our
neighbour as God loves us, following the injunction of our Lord in John 13:34-
35: “A new commandment I give you, that you love one another: just I have
loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that
you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

As disciples of Christ, we strive to faithfully continue the mission of Christ in
our world, especially in our parish community through our active participation
and cooperation in various parochial societies and ministries, and going
beyond to proclaiming the gospel of Christ to all by our life of witnessing.

 

We acknowledge the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives and constantly seek its
guidance in all our actions and deliberations. Being the love between the
Father and the Son, the same Spirit continues to be our source of strength and
inspiration, giving meaning to our faith in God.

 

This website with its designing is intended to, but not limited to, giving
information about our Parish, various activities going on in the parish such as
mass times, celebration of sacraments, societies and their activities, various
ministries in the parish, notices, contact details, etc. For further information,
